Natalie's Pleated Bag

This is Natalie's completed pleated bag!!!!  It is always so nice when a project is completed and it actually works (especially when it is a felted bag).  If you would like to make a bag like this, let me know and I will get you the pattern.  You start with a Magic Loop cast on with two circular needles and finish with the pleats using double points.  It isn't nearly as difficult as it sounds or looks, right Natalie???
I am thrilled for you Natalie.  What is next on the list?  If anyone has a project that they would like me to post, send me the pictures.  If you have a pattern you would like to share, we can post that as well.  We can post pictures of projects in the process of being completed too.  That's always fun to see something at its inception, along the way, and and completion.

Our first "official" evening together

And we're off!!! This Friday, February 12th, we will be meeting at Laura's clubhouse located at 725 West Lazy Oak Way (9190 South).  Laura's subdivision is right below Tai Pan Trading on 700 West and off 90th South.  You can call me at 801-433-8846 if you get lost and I will send up a flare (or at least, talk you in).
Bring your knitting, a treat (if you care to), but most importantly, yourself ready to relax and enjoy the company of friends.  It doesn't matter what you are working on, or how many projects you are working on, just come.  I will have a camera, so be prepared to show off your handiwork.  See you there!

I must digress......

This isn't a knitting post, but oh my gosh, this is such a cute picture of my grandson.  You must know that he ha(s)/ha(d) curly hair and I love, love love it!  While the kids were in DisneyWorld for Christmas, apparently Eli was mistaken for a girl.  Honestly!!!!  So they decided to get his hair cut on Main Street Disney.  This picture is of him studying the results with his Mickey ears on.  Isn't he the cutest thing ever????

Fun at the Morton's

Here is Natalie working on one of her projects.  That's right, she has many and she has been patiently waiting for us to arrive so she can be assured that everything she is doing is correct, and thus move forward.  Laura had a little work to do on a pair of her socks, but other than that, things were looking good.  For those who are not aware of what has been going on in Natalie's life, she had foot surgery and has been in "recovery mode" for several weeks.  What that means is that she is going crazy!!!  Natalie is not one to sit around and watch the world go by.  She is ready to get moving!!!  We were lucky enough to get a tour of the house (my favorite.... her very own craft room, although the "Theater" pulled a close second, only because it has a stage!!!!) We had food and fun with Natalie, her darling mother Violet, her wonderful daughter Sophie, Laura, Jacqueline and myself.  Speaking of Jacqueline...... I had forgotten how much fun we have when we are together.  Jacqueline can set us all laughing uncontrollably with a simple story from work.  What a great friend we have in her!  As always, Laura helped everyone there.  Sophie has started on a fish with Laura's help, which is now something I want to try out.

What a wonderful evening we had.  I am looking forward to our next get together (February 12th) when hopefully more friends can come.  Thanks Natalie for your hospitality.
